📢 Announcement

We are pleased to announce that applications for the Scotland Pakistan Scholarship Scheme for Young Women and Girls 2025–26 are now open! Launched in 2013 by the British Council in collaboration with the Scottish Government, this program aims to promote higher education among Pakistani women, especially those from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.

So far, the scheme has supported over 2,000 students in achieving their educational ambitions.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. Examples: Biotechnology, Biosciences, Environmental Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, and more (STEM Engineering applicable at Master’s level).

The British Council currently does not offer application tracking. After the 15 September 2025 deadline, shortlisting is tentatively by end of September/early October, interviews mid-October to early November, and awards by end of November to early December.

No. The scholarship is only for programmes at Pakistani universities.

It covers the tuition fee for the semester you are enrolled in and upcoming semesters. Previous semesters will not be reimbursed.
